Discover Galway’s rich whiskey heritage, along a trail of old disused distilleries and the finest whiskey bars. You will learn the origins of Irish whiskey including its rise to glory and its dramatic fall.
We will visit the former Persse whiskey distillery on the banks of the River Corrib along with Burke’s quarter barrel distillery on Quay Street.
We will also tell the story of Galway’s golden age in whiskey and its current revival in the city through the Galway whiskey trail.
At the end of the tour, we relax in a local historic pub to enjoy a little sample from a unique selection of premium Irish whiskeys.
